Team India receives another injury scare ahead of the second Test against South Africa

Shardul Thakur was hit on his shoulder during the net session in Centurion on Saturday.

Team India is currently playing without the services of Mohammed Shami, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravindra Jadeja (who was out for the first test) and now recently Shardul Thakur has joined this growing list. 

India are currently suffering a major defeat in the South African soil and now they have been hit with an injury scare ahead of the second test match against South Africa. Team India was outplayed by the Proteas in the Centurion and they registered an innings win against the away team.

The pace bowler, Shardul Thakur was hit on his shoulder while he was in the net session in the Centurion ahead of the second Test match. Shardul got a blow on his left shoulder while he was batting in the nets and was facing balls thrown at him by the support staff members. He although continued to bat but did not show up for bowling.

Shardul was seen in discomfort and was seen in pain but he did not bowl. He was seen putting an ice pack on his shoulder. Although the magnitude of the injury is yet not known and scans will be taken if required.

India are already missing out on Shami and Ruturaj due to injuries and Jadeja was ruled out of the first match due to a back spasm.

India play their next Test match against South Africa on January 3rd.
