Suryakumar Yadav has rewritten the history books yet again. In terms of balls taken, he became the player to reach 1,500 runs in T20I cricket the quickest, doing so in just 843. With only 43 innings, he completed the 1,500-run milestone in T20Is for the third-fastest time. He is also the first player to accomplish the feat with a strike rate of 150 or higher.
In 45 games and 43 innings, he has scored 1,578 runs at an average of 46.41. With three centuries and thirteen half-centuries in the format, he has a best individual score of 117 and a strike rate of 180.34.

In 2011, he was awarded the MA Chidambaram Trophy as the year's top Under-22 cricketer. He is nicknamed SKY by his fans.
