Aiden Markram is a professional South African cricketer, who is known for his outstanding batting skills and leadership abilities. Aiden Kyle Markram was born on October 4, 1994, in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa. In a Test match against Bangladesh in October 2017, he made his debut for South Africa in international cricket. Markram is a right-handed batsman, who is known for his elegant stroke play and solid technique.
He is also a part-time off-spinner and has taken several crucial wickets for South Africa in both Test and ODI cricket. Markram has captained South Africa in both Test and ODI cricket and is regarded as a potential future captain of the national team.
He made his first-class debut for the Northerns cricket team in 2014 and has since then represented several teams, including Titans, Durham, and Hampshire. Markram's highest score in Test cricket is 152, which he scored against Bangladesh in 2017.
In 2018, he was named one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year, after an impressive season with the Titans in domestic cricket.
