Serena Williams posted on Instagram that she had given birth to a girl almost exactly one year after her last tennis match. Alexis Ohanian, who helped start Reddit, is married to Williams, who is 41 years old. Their second child, Adira River Ohanian, is also a girl. Olympia, their first child, was born in 2017.
Williams, whose career went beyond tennis and saw her win 23 Grand Slam singles titles, announced her pregnancy at the Met Gala in May.Williams cited a desire to expand her family as one of the primary reasons for quitting tennis when she announced to the world in August 2022 that she was getting ready to end her playing career.
