Starting off strong, the Lions scored two rushing scores in the first quarter to take a 14-0 lead. Their dominance continued in the first half, which ended with a huge 24–7 lead. Still, it cost them a lot when they turned down four-down conversions instead of kicking two field goals that could have been scored in the second half.
