Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has taken the decision to have a life-sized statue of Sachin Tendulkar at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This will be a special gift to Sachin Tendulkar for his birthday. The statue will be unveiled on his birthday, I.e., on 30th April. It is going to be his golden jubilee as he is turning 50 years old this year.
Wankhede stadium is where Sachin played his last match for India in 2013. The stadium has given him a lot of memories for which he is forever grateful.
Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) president, Amol Kale said that Sachin has given his consent to this project. Sachin was really surprised and honored by this idea and is looking forward to it.
