Royal Challengers Bangalore is owned by a Diageo Group company, United Spirits Limited. For a very long time, Kingfisher was the sponsor for Royal Challengers Bangalore. After the controversy of the Kingfisher owner, Vijay Mallya, RCB dropped the sponsorship in 2018. Since 2020, financial services company, Muthoot Fincorp served as the title sponsor of RCB. Qatar Airways has now bagged the deal and signed a Rs. 75 crore contract with RCB for 3 years as their title sponsor.
Qatar Airways has been showing interest in India lately as they signed Deepika Padukone as their Global Ambassador and now has signed a title sponsorship with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
It is RCB’s biggest deal to date and IPL’s second-biggest deal. According to the contract, the logo of Qatar Airways will be on the front of RCB’s jersey.
