Report: Mbappe rejects PSG contract renewal again

Kylian Mbappe is reportedly rejecting Paris Saint-Germain's latest contract offer, which might allow him to depart on a free transfer after his contract expires. The French superstar, who has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, announced his intention to leave the club earlier this summer. PSG has been adamant that Mbappe will not be allowed to leave for another club in 2024. He was given the choice to either employ the contract extension clause or sign a new, longer-term contract that included a guarantee of sale.

Mbappe is rumoured to have declined the offer, which heightens the tense position. PSG's Qatari owners have now delegated control of the choice to club president Nasser Al Khelaifi, who will have to decide whether to spend the 2023–24 season attempting to persuade Mbappe to stay or make him a transfer target.

Lionel Messi left PSG for Inter Miami in the MLS, while Neymar joined Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. PSG has already had a difficult transfer window. Currently, Mbappe is the lone survivor of PSG's legendary front three.

Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, has decided against signing Mbappe during the current transfer window despite the rejection. Mbappe is rumoured to have already agreed to terms on a prospective trade to Spain as a free agent in 2024, but Spanish daily Marca believes that Real Madrid is waiting for a "green light" to start negotiations with him.

The Mbappe saga is still in progress, and his future is still up in the air. Fans are eagerly awaiting the conclusion of this high-profile transfer saga, as PSG and Real Madrid are set to continue their negotiations.
