After winning the series against Australia, Ravi Bishnoi was named player of the series on Wednesday, pushing him to the top of the ICC T20I bowling chart.Despite having only begun his international career in the beginning of 2022, 23-year-old Ravi Bishnoi has risen four spots to the top of the revised rankings thanks to his steady performances for Team India.
In India's recent 4-1 series victory over Australia in India, Ravi Bishnoi was voted Player of the Series. Since making his T20I debut against the West Indies in February 2022, he has taken 34 wickets in 21 matches. Since the leg-spinner finished the 2020 ICC Men's Under 19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa with the most wickets (17) of any player, and India finished as runners-up behind fellow Asian team Bangladesh, Ravi Bishnoi's ascent to the top has not come as a surprise.
Rashid Khan (second), Adil Rashid (tied for third), Wanindu Hasaranga (tied for third), and Maheesh Theekshana (fifth) all fall one spot within the top 10 as a result of Bishnoi's ascent to the top, while fellow Indian spinner Axar Patel climbs 16 spots to take the 11th position. Ruturaj Gaikwad, the opener, fell to sixth place among batters, but the daring Suryakumar Yadav, who captained India during their 4-1 T20I series victory against Australia, maintained his top status.
Even though Hardik Pandya was injured during the series against Australia, he held third place on the all-rounder's list.
The top two players in the ODI rankings are still South Africa's Keshav Maharaj (bowling) and India's Shubman Gill (batting), despite a few adjustments after the West Indies and England series opener in the Caribbean.
