A Patient Knock from Nikin Jose
Introduced to the crease on Day 2 after the dismissal of Devdutt Padikkal with Karnataka comfortably placed at 238/2, Jose faced the challenge head-on. With Mayank Agarwal departing soon after, and with the absence of the injured Manish Pandey, the onus fell on the young shoulders of Nikin Jose. Despite making his First-Class debut in 2022, Jose has rapidly ascended to prominence in the domestic circuit. The 23-year-old has accumulated 688 runs from 12 First-Class matches, showcasing remarkable consistency with an average exceeding 38. His two centuries and four fifties underline his ability to deliver under pressure.

In the ongoing clash against Goa, the opposition posted a total of 321 in the first innings, with notable contributions from Snehal Kauthankar, Arjun Tendulkar, and Heramb Parab.
