IPL 2026 has made the competition for Indian team’s middle order (No. 3 & No. 4) extremely intense.

On one side is the consistent and in-form “Sarpanch” Shreyas Iyer, and on the other is the explosive Rajat Patidar, who has completely transformed his team’s fortunes this season.

Both players have been brilliant in IPL but haven’t got consistent opportunities in the Indian team yet.

While age might be a factor for Rajat Patidar, his current form is undeniable.

Shreyas Iyer also remains a strong contender for the middle order spot.
