Noida Factory Workers Protest Over Huge Salary Gap with Haryana

Noida is witnessing a major protest by factory workers for the last four days.

The main reason is the huge salary disparity with neighboring Haryana.

After a 35% hike in minimum wages in Haryana, workers there are earning ₹580 to ₹750 per day for the same work.

In contrast, Noida workers are getting only ₹350 to ₹435 per day.

Workers are demanding their salary be increased from ₹13,000 to ₹18,000–₹20,000 per month, along with double overtime pay, weekly offs, medical benefits, and timely bonuses.

Some workers also pelted stones at other companies, damaging vehicles and creating traffic chaos. Security has been tightened in the area.

Will the workers get Haryana-like wages or will the protest intensify further?
