Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola hailed Kevin De Bruyne as he called him a “legend” after the midfielder scored a goal and assisted in the Premier League after he returned to the field after an injury. Manchester City won 3-2 over Newcastle United.
De Bruyne came to the field as a substitute in the 69th-mintute when city were 2-1 down. As soon as the midfielder came on to play, he immediately upped the score to a 2-2. In the 91st minute, the 20-year-old Oscar Bobb scored a last-minute goal which made Man City win this game 3-2 over Newcastle United.
De Bruyne made his comeback after spending five months in rehab due to a hamstring injury. Pep Guardiola said, “He is a legend” “I had the feeling he is not ready for 90 minutes after five months so we that situation, impact in the last minutes. “The goal and the assist, he is loved by our people and hopefully in the last months he can help us be there to the end”
Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon scored in the two first-half minutes and put Newcastle 2-1 up.
Even though it was a great evening for the Man City players, Pep Guardiola said he would want to talk up his team and make sure they have chances of winning their fourth Premier League title in a row. Pep Guardiola said, “The team is alive”.
