Naomi Osaka defeated Caroline Garcia in Qatar Open to avenge Australian Open loss

After losing in the first round in Abu Dhabi, Naomi Osaka beat Caroline Garcia in straight sets at the Qatar Open. Osaka used that win to get back on track after her loss. This is Osaka's second win since she came back to the tour last month after taking 15 months off for baby leave. The Japanese player, who has won four Grand Slams, beat Garcia 7-5, 6-4 in Doha to get back at her after losing to her in the first round of the Australian Open.

After giving birth, Osaka admits that it was hard for her to get back into the sport. She says the journey was hard and doesn't feel good because she felt like she was chasing her old self. As a perfectionist, she struggled with the slow progress she originally felt and quickly got back to being fit after giving birth. Because of this journey, Osaka says she learned to love herself just the way she is now. As a mother, she finds strength, and she loves being able to see her daughter every morning.
