Mujeeb, a player who wasn't known for his batting skills, shocked everyone by getting 64 runs in just 37 balls, which was an amazing feat. Before the game, Mujeeb's hitting record wasn't great. In over 300 professional games, his best score was 27. But he didn't do what anyone thought he would do. Instead, he broke Afghanistan's national record for the fastest ODI fifty by doing it in just 26 balls.
Mujeeb's inning was full of bold shots, like the five fours and five sixes that he hit. He started his attack by hitting a reverse-swept four off of Mohammad Nawaz. On the next three balls, he hit six, four, and six off of Faheem Ashraf. He kept going after the bowlers and had no trouble with either spinners or fast spinners.
Even though Mujeeb did great things, Afghanistan didn't reach the goal and lost the match by 59 runs. With this win, Pakistan moved to the top of the ICC's list of men's ODI teams.
Mujeeb's innings will go down in cricket history as one of the most unusual and amazing things a batter has ever done. It showed that he could step up to the challenge and come through when his team needed it most. This inning will definitely make Mujeeb feel better about himself and show that he is a useful all-rounder for Afghanistan.
