Erling Haaland the striker for Manchester City has been ruled out till the end of January due to a foot injury, the manager of the club recently said that in a press meeting.
Pep Guardiola expects him to return to training next week in Abu Dhabi. Pep Guardiola told the reporters that his injury is on the bone and that it needs time.
He told the reporters, “The doctors decided to stop for one week and maybe restart in Abu Dhabi. Hopefully, at the end of this month, he’ll be ready. It was a little bit more than we expected in the beginning”
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland are the top joint scorers for this year’s Premier League. Pep Guardiola said to the reporters that they need him and hopefully he can come back and play the next few months without any problem.
Pep Guardiola though had some good news for the City fans with regards to Kevin De Bruyne. The 32-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in the first part of the season but now is significantly improving and his gameplay is better than his training session.
Manchester City are third in the points table while Liverpool is in the first position.
