Jannik Sinner advances to the 3rd round of the Australian Open for the 3rd time in a row.

The young Italian player, Jannik Sinner continued his winning streak in Melbourne, Australia after he advanced to the third round on Wednesday morning. This is his 3rd time in a row that he has advanced to the 3rd round of the Australian Open 2024.

 

He won the match in straight sets against his Dutch opponent Jesper De Jong. He defeated his opponent with a 6-2,6-2,6-2 to advance to the third round of the men’s singles Australian Open 2024. The Italian is fourth seeded and is a favourite of many as he had a stellar finish last season.

In the whole match that last between Jannik Sinner and Jesper De Jong, Sinner hit 7 aces and did not face a single break point from his opponent throughout the entire match. The percentage of his win points were 45%. The spectators witnessed a great game but were sympathetic towards Jesper De Jong after he got the scoreboard running but by that time, Jannik Sinner had already booked his spot in the next round.

He is most likely to be up against Daniel Elahi Galan or Sebastian Baez.
