India became the first team to set a target beyond four hundred since England's knock of 408 against New Zealand in 2015. Virat Kohli also scored a century after 3 long years. He scored his 72nd international century surpassing Ricky Ponting to become the second player in the list to score the most centuries only after Sachin Tendulkar.

Ishan Kishan became the fourth Indian batsman to join the 200 club after Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and  Rohit Sharma and he is the only wicketkeeper-batsman in the list. Kishan also broke the record for the fastest international double century which was previously held by West indies legend Chris Gayle.

The universe boss scored his double out of 138 balls whereas Kishan did it off just 126 balls. India lost the series to Bangladesh 2-1 but managed to produce some excellent performances from the players. Ishan could possibly play such wonderful knocks and help India win big matches in the upcoming years. Aakash Chopra tweeted Ishan won by 28 runs after the match.

Virat Kohli

Ishan Kishan is 24 years old and plays for Mumbai Indians in the Indian premier league. He has excellent statistics in twenty20 and one-day internationals. If Ishan Kishan could continue his form, he will be an added advantage to India's 2023 ODI world cup.

After the loss at the T20 world cup, coach Rahul Dravid and BCCI are set to make many changes in the Indian team. Young talents like Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson must be given more opportunities.
