Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals qualified after the Lucknow Super Giants were defeated by the Delhi Capitals on May 14, therefore eliminating LSG from contention for the playoffs.

-
Royal Challengers Bengaluru
In their final league match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 18, Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Chennai Super Kings by a margin of 27 runs to earn a playoff spot. Despite losing this game, CSK needed to guarantee a loss of no more than 17 runs to qualify for the Playoffs. In the process of chasing a 219-run goal, CSK ended up 191 for 7. Despite their regular losses, RCB qualified thanks to their superior Net Run Rate (NRR), which served as a tiebreaker if the four clubs had identical points and wins.
