On Thursday, the 5-time champions Mumbai Indians hosted the Royal Challengers Bengaluru for their first encounter this IPL 2024. After putting up a total of 196, RCB couldn't do much with the bowl, as MI chased down the total with 4.3 overs to spare. Wankhede turned into a batting paradise in the second innings, easing the process of chasing for MI. Though the results may not favor RCB, the spirits were all high in the field. The fans witnessed some great camaraderie between the Indian cricket teammates and here are some that made buzz on the social media as well.
Hilarious Rohit Sharma on the stump mic
During their match at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma made a pleasant remark about Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik. The Indian skipper, Rohit, was overheard teasing Dinesh Karthik about the team selection for the T20 World Cup. "Shabash DK, T20 World Cup mein selection ke liye push karna hai isko, Dimag mein chal raha hai iske World Cup." Rohit got caught on the stump mic talking to Dinesh Karthik.

Virat asked the crowd to cheer not ‘boo’ Hardik
During the Indian Premier League match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians, Virat Kohli appeared to request that the crowd at Wankhede Stadium stop booing Hardik Pandya. Wankhede saw a mix of emotions as Pandya stepped up to bat in the second innings. First, as Rohit Sharma walked off the ground after being dismissed, there was a ring of booing that persisted until Hardik took his guard.
