Chennai Super Kings secured a convincing victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets in the 29th match of IPL 2023. Despite losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Hyderabad managed to post a total of only 134 runs, losing seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Chennai comfortably chased down the target with 8 balls to spare, losing only three wickets in the process. Devon Conway was the star performer for Chennai, scoring an unbeaten 77 runs in 57 balls, including 12 fours and a six.

With this win, Chennai has now won four out of their six matches this season, having lost the other two. They currently occupy the third spot in the points table with eight points, tied with both Rajasthan and Lucknow Supergiants. However, Rajasthan are at the top of the table due to their superior net run rate, while Lucknow are in second place and Chennai are in third.
