Indian Team Visits Mahakaleshwar Temple to Offer Prayers for Rishabh Pant

Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant recently survived a fatal car accident after he returned from the tour of Bangladesh. On his way home from Delhi to Dehradun he met with an accident on the highway. 

He was going to surprise his mom on the eve of the new year. It was said that his car crashed mainly because of the bad roads and potholes on the way.

Ahead of the third ODI against New Zealand at Madhya Pradesh, a few of India’s men cricket team players including Surya Kumar Yadav, Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav offered prayers for Rishabh at Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain. Players and the staff were seen participating in the Bhasma Aarti at the temple.

Rishabh underwent ligament surgery along with treatment of several other injuries on his head and body. 

He quipped about this on Twitter, “I am humbled and grateful for all the support and good wishes. I am glad to let you know that my surgery was a success. The road to recovery has begun and I am ready for the challenges ahead. Thank you to the @BCCI, @JayShah & government authorities for their incredible support.”

Prayers from all over the world from the cricketing fraternity flooded in for Rishabh, wishing for his speedy recovery.
