Indian cricketers are ruling the recent updated ICC ODI rankings. The ICC ODI rankings now have Mohammed Siraj as the top bowler after Siraj returned to form during the 2023 World Cup and Shubman Gill as the top batsman.
In the most recent ICC rankings, which were unveiled on Wednesday, November 8, Shubman Gill with 830 rating points surpassed Babar Azam who now only had 823 points who stood at no. 1 position for 2 years, to take the top spot among ODI batters in the globe, while South Africa's Quinton de Kock stands at no.3 with 771 points followed by Virat kohli at no.4 .

Shubman also became the second-fastest person to reach the No. 1 spot in 41 innings. MS Dhoni is still the fastest to reach that point in just 38 innings. Shubman Gill became the fourth Indian cricketers to hold the top spot among ODI batters, only after Cricket Legends Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni
This year had been a spectacular year in ODI cricket for Shubman, scoring 1449 runs from 26 matches and hitting four hundreds, including a double-century.
The right-hander has contributed scores of 92 against Sri Lanka and 23 against South Africa over the last week and has intotal 219 runs from six innings at the tournament so far. Due to Dengue, Gill missed India's first two matches of the world cup tournament against Australia and Afghanistan.
Due to the incredible undefeated start to the 50-over ICC men's world cup tournament, four Indian bowlers also ranked among the top 10 in the ODI rankings. Siraj rose two spots to reclaim his position as the top-ranked ODI bowler. Other Indian Ballers Mohammed Shami at no.7, Kuldeep Yadav at no. 4 and Jasprit Bumrah at no. 8 ,were all comfortably positioned inside the top 10.
