At the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China, on Monday, India took home bronze in the men's and women's 3000m speed skating relay events. The women's team, which included Sanjana Bathula, Karthika Jagadeeswaran, Heeral Sadhu, and Aarathy Kasthuri Raj, finished in third place with a time of 4:34.861.
South Korea came in second with a time of 4:11.9447, just ahead of Chinese Taipei, who took first place.
By coincidence, all three nations also won medals in the men's 3000m speed skating relay. Aryanpal Singh, Anandkumar, Siddhant Rahul, and Vikram Rajendra made up the Indian men's squad, and Vikram Rajendra's time of 4:10.128 earned him third place. South Korea came in second with a time of 4:05.702, but Chinese Taipei took first with a time of 4:05.692, narrowly beating them out.
