The Indian U-23 women's team began play in the Women's Emerging Asia Cup on Tuesday with an easy nine-wicket victory at Mong Kok in Hong Kong. Shreyanka Patil, a young all-rounder, crushed an inexperienced Hong Kong team with impressive stats of 5/2. As Hong Kong were bowled out for 34 in 14 overs, with opener Mariko Hill scoring 14 off 19 balls, 20-year-old Shreyanka, one of the discoveries of the first WPL season after putting up a fantastic performance for RCB, bowled her tight off-breaks.Mannat Kashyap (2/2) and Parshavi Chopra (2/12), two of India's U-19 World Cup heroes, also took wickets. With Gongadi Trisha's unbroken score of 19, India reached the target in 5.2 overs.
