India secured a silver medal in shooting at the ongoing Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou. Sarabjot Singh and Divya TS narrowly lost to China in the 10m air pistol mixed team final, with a score of 14-16. In athletics, Murali Sreeshankar qualified for the men's long jump final, while Jyothi Yarraji Nithya Ramraj made it to the women's 100-metre hurdles final. Aditi Ashok is in contention for a medal in women's golf, leading the individual round 3. The Indian women's team also performed well in golf, finishing the day on top.
India is set to face Pakistan in two important matches. The men's squash teams will compete for gold in the final, and the men's hockey teams will battle it out for a spot in the semi-finals. The Indian men's badminton team will face South Korea in the semi-final, and Lovlina Borgohain, the Olympic bronze medalist, will begin her campaign in the women's 75kg quarterfinal.
