The ICC Cricket World Cup will be played in India for the first time ever in 2023 on November 19, with the finals taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the biggest cricket stadium in the world. The world cup will start on 5th Oct and conclude on 19th Nov.
According to ESPNCricinfo, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has chosen 12 venues for the event, including popular locations like Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. There will be a hefty 48 matches in the tournament, spread out over 46 days.
The cities that will host the warm-up matches and the venues for the matches, however, have not been announced by BCCI. The reason behind not finalizing the venues is the unpredictability of the approaching monsoon season and different parts of India receives rainfall at different time.
