Germany and Belgium crash out as Japan and Morocco top groups

Group F and Group E saw their closure on the 1st of December as emotions of anger, frustration and happiness were divided between all the teams at the end of the day.

In Group F, Croatia faced Belgium and Canada faced Morocco. The Croatia and Belgium game was an important one as it was a must-win for Belgium even a draw would make sure that Croatia would make it through to the Round of 16. However, luck was not on Belgium's side last night as the game ended with a 0-0 score.

Despite attempts from Central attacking midfielder and Belgium Captian for the night Kevin De Bryne who tried his very best, he did not get any support from his teammates as Inter Milan and Belgium Striker Romelu Lukaku missed 3 golden chances to make his team go up 1-0, it didn't seem like his day. On the other side of things, Canada which was already Eliminated from the Competition faced Morocco. Morocco finished the game winning it 2-1.

Meanwhile in Group E, the Results were something which no one would have expected. On the last day of group E, Japan faced Spain and Costa Rica faced Germany. The criteria were simple for Japan, win and they go through and they did exactly that pulling off a 2-1 Win against Spain making them the first Asian Nation in a long period of time to become Group winners. Their opponents Spain however had to hope that even if they lost, Germany should have won their game but not by a very large Goal difference, had Costa Rica won the game against Germany they would have gone ahead of Spain. In the end, luck seemed to end up on Spain's side because even though Germany won Spain had a huge Goal difference lead thanks to their 7-0 win against Costa Rica earlier in the Tournament. Germany who many people before the tournament assumed to be favourites to qualify have been knocked out.
