International fixtures clash with IPL

Ever since the new schedule of IPL has been released, there has been a lot of confusion and uncertainty over the availability of key overseas players due to their international commitments. The English and West Indian players are scheduled to play each other in an ODI series, and due to this series, Jos Buttler and Jacob Bethell will not be able to play in the playoffs for their teams if they qualify. Both RCB and GT are in pole position to qualify for the playoffs. South Africa will face Australia in the final on 11th June, but they are also scheduled to play a warm-up fixture against Zimbabwe, and that’s why the South African players are expected to land in England on 31st May. This is the main reason why CSA and BCCI were not able to agree on extending NOCs for the players, as this is the most important match in South African cricket’s history.
