Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino was all in praise of Cole Palmer after his massive contribution to the Blues. The former Manchester City player scored one goal and assisted in Saturday’s much-needed victory over Sheffield United.
Chelsea had almost 80% of possession across 90 minutes of the game. The Blues scored twice in the second half. Palmer provided the goal for Chelsea in the 54th minute after a one-two with Raheem Sterling. Palmer also scored another goal in the 61st minute when the United goalkeeper could only ward off the ball leading to a goal for the Blues.
Sheffield United did a great job restricting the blues in the first half but fell short of continuing that momentum in the second half. The Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino tried to confuse the United players in the second half as he switched Sterling and Cole’s positions to suppress United’s
move.
Sheffield United’s manager, Chris Wilder blamed the team’s loss on the inexperience of his side and Chelsea’s game quality.
This was Chelsea’s third home win this season which set them up to the 10th place. Whereas United remain at the bottom of the table.
