At the Kennington Oval in London on Sunday, Australia defeated India by 209 runs to win the ICC World Test Championship for the first time. India will have a lofty 444-run goal to reach on Saturday thanks to Pat Cummins' team. India had 280 runs to win going into the final day and seven wickets in hand. Before Australia destroyed the middle and lower order in the first session, Virat Kohli fell early on 49, adding just five runs to his overnight total. The first men's team to win every major ICC trophy was Australia. Australia has triumphed in the ODI World Cup five times: in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, and 2015. Additionally, they have won the ICC Champions Trophy in back-to-back years, in 2006 and 2009.
In the final, led by Aaron Finch, Australia defeated New Zealand to win the T20 World Cup for the first time in its history in the United Arab Emirates in 2021. While everything was going on, India suffered its fourth loss in an ICC final since winning the 2013 Champions Trophy in England. India also came in second place to New Zealand in the 2021 World T20, the 2017 Champions Trophy, and the 2014 T20 World Cup. From June 16, Australia will play in the next Ashes match in England. India will have a rare month-long holiday before their all-format tour to the West Indies, which will start on July 12.
