The Asian Kabaddi final 2023 final game was played on Friday at the Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Seokdang Cultural Centre in Busan, Republic of Korea, with India defeating Iran 42-32 thanks to an outstanding performance. After nine seasons, India won their eighth championship. Pawan Sehrawat, the captain of India, took the lead early with a fantastic 10. The men's Indian kabaddi team was behind Iran after the first five minutes of the game. A couple tackle points by the defence and effective raids by Pawan Sehrawat and Aslam Inamdar prompted Iran to go all-out in the 10th minute of play, though.
The Indian kabaddi team quickly widened their lead as they gained momentum and produced an exceptional all-around performance. India was trounced by Iran with a few easy extra points, but in the 19th minute India forced Iran into a second all-out. India was in the lead at halftime with a 23-11 score. Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh, the captain of the Iranian side, assisted India in experiencing its first all-out in the 29th minute with a two-point raid and a super raid. India held on to pull out a 42-32 victory despite Iran cutting the gap to 38-31 with two minutes remaining in the game. India won the league stage of the championship without losing after crushing Hong Kong 64-20 earlier in the day.
