A high-voltage India vs. Pakistan match is likely to take place at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad during the upcoming ODI World Cup in 2023.
The sources reported that this will be the first time the two rivals have met on Indian soil since the T20 World Cup in 2016. The BCCI has shortlisted in excess of ten urban communities, yet the Narendra Modi Cricket Arena is the 'leader' to have the high-profile game, the report said.
Nagpur, Bengaluru, Trivandrum, Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Rajkot, Indore, Bengaluru, and Dharamshala are among the potential locations for the 50-over World Cup. The majority of Pakistan's games will reportedly be held in Chennai and Bengaluru due to security concerns, while only seven of these venues will host India's matches.
Additionally, it is said that Bangladesh can play its games in Kolkata and Guwahati, reducing attendance for Bangladeshi fans. The tournament's schedule is likely to be released by the BCCI following the IPL season. In the ODI World Cups, India has prevailed seven times over Pakistan, winning all seven matches.
The ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 is probably going to begin on October 5 and end on November 19. In 46 days, there will be 48 matches played.
