Steve Smith, the versatile Australian cricketer, has set a new milestone, by becoming the fastest player to score 9000 runs in test cricket history. He seconds this to Kumar Sangakkara, who is the former Srilankan cricket team captain, by just 2 innings from him. He has also noticeably equalled his achievement with that of Steve Waugh’s record. He contributed a total of 416 runs to Australia, which marked a great impact on their victory.
At the age of 34, Steve Smith stands as a great example to all the players not only in the Australian team but the entire world of Cricket. He has been very consistent in all the match formats and never missed to take a toll on the bowlers. Every match of Australia resounds the efforts and toil put in by all the players, but Steve Smith particularly.
In the upcoming test match, scheduled for July 6th, he is all set to anchor his next milestone, which is his 100th test match.
