Andhra Pradesh Bandh: TDP calls for protests statewide, Chandrababu N. in jail

Previous Andhra Pradesh Boss Pastor, Chandrababu Naidu, ended up in steaming hot water as of late as he was shipped off legal guardianship for 14 days by the Counter Defilement Department (ACB) court in Vijayawada. This action is related to a rumoured scam involving the Skill Development Corporation, which has sparked debate throughout the state. Naidu made his way to the Rajahmundry Central Jail on Monday after he was taken into custody by the courts in a corruption case.

The police have dispensed him a space in the upper block of the Sneha Wing, where he will remain until additional methods occur. His son Nara Lokesh and other party leaders also made it to the central prison, where he now carries prisoner number 7691. The East Godavari district police in Rajahmundry have enacted a prohibitory law to maintain order in the area. In front of Naidu's appearance, weighty police security was sent to Rajahmundry Focal Prison. The Andhra Pradesh Criminal Investigation Department (CID) conducted an investigation into an alleged corruption case, which led to Chandrababu Naidu's arrest.

According to authorities, the establishment of clusters of Centers of Excellence (CoE) in Andhra Pradesh has an estimated project value of Rs 3,300 crore. It was alleged that the state government suffered a significant loss of over Rs 300 million as a result of these fraudulent activities. The CID examination revealed a few inconsistencies, including the settlement ahead of time of Rs 371 million by the state government to private elements before any consumption was made. According to CID officials, the majority of this money was surprisingly transferred to shell companies through fictitious invoices without actually being delivered or sold. According to the CID's return report, private institutions spent 371 crores on six skill development clusters using funds from the AP Skill Development Center and the Government of Andhra Pradesh. In some areas, public unrest has resulted from Naidu's arrest.

In the Chittoor district, TDP activists used stoning to stop a Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus from leaving the railway station. In the streets, protesters even set tires on fire. Accordingly, Andhra Pradesh Police implemented Area 144 in the state to keep up with the rule of law.

The state police also attempted to arrest several party leaders in the Chittoor district as a preventative measure, including TDP MLC Kancherla Srikanth. However, Kancherla Srikanth staged a roadside sit-in and used slogans to criticize the state government led by Jagan Mohan Reddy. Comparable fights against Naidu's capture and confinement occurred in Tirupati and West Godavari regions, mirroring the boundless concern and discussion encompassing the case. Protests and outrage have broken out across Andhra Pradesh as a result of Chandrababu Naidu's judicial detention in connection with the alleged Skill Development Corporation scam. The allegations of corruption in this case are significant because they involve substantial amounts of government funds and alleged fraudulent activities.
