Shweta Sharda emerged as the winner of the Miss Diva Universe 2023 pageant, which took place in Mumbai. There were numerous celebrities present at the event, which was a star-studded affair. Divita Rai, the winner from the previous year, presented Shweta with her crown.
Shweta Sharda, a 22-year-old from Chandigarh, moved to Mumbai at the age of 16 to pursue her dreams. She has made appearances on popular dance shows like Dance India Dance, Dance Deewane, and Dance+. She has also worked as a choreographer on the show Jhalak Dikhlaja. Shweta credits her mother as the most influential person in her life and considers Sushmita Sen, the former Miss Universe, her inspiration.
In an interview, Shweta expressed her pride in teaching dance to some of India's most beloved actors, including Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Mouni Roy, and Madhuri Dixit. She believes in advocating for improved education, equal opportunities, and self-defence skills for women. Shweta believes that every girl deserves a quality education and the confidence to protect herself, and she aims to empower girls for a safer and more equitable world.
The Miss Diva Universe 2023 pageant was a grand affair, with renowned designers and celebrities on the judging panel. Designers Abhishek Sharma and Nikita Mhaisalkar, photographer Jatin Kampani, reigning Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, Pratik Gandhi, Srinidhi Shetty, and Sangeeta Bijlani were on the judges panel.
