First woman to head PFC: Parminder Chopra 

Parminder Chopra, currently serving as Director (Finance), is set to become the first woman Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the state-owned non-banking financial institution, Power Finance Corporation (PFC). The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) recommended Chopra's name for the top post, making her responsible for heading the leading Maharatna PSU in the power sector. She will be succeeding the current CMD, Ravinder Singh Dhillon, and will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, leading the growth trajectory, and strengthening PFC's position as a leading player in the sector.
According to a notification issued by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on May 8, Parminder Chopra has been recommended for the position of Chairman & Managing Director at Power Finance Corporation. Chopra has over 35 years of experience in the power sector, including previous work at NHPC and PGCIL. He is a Cost Accountant and holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce.
