Sean Fraser, Canada's Immigration Minister announced on 26.6.23 Tuesday, that the Government of Canada will permit 10000 American Hi-B visa holders to work in their country. It is also noticeable that the H1-B visa holders are given a concession to study and work at the same time, and will be able to host their family members.
This permit by the Canadian Government is available up to 3 years, from the date of their visa grant. The news release has also said that the immediate family members are allowed to stay with the applicant, and they are also eligible to avail of a temporary study or work permit in Canada.
Although the H1-B visa helps a lot of Immigrants to stay in the US for a specific period, there has been a spike in the massive layoffs in the tech sector. Hence the applicants need to weigh the pros and cons.
