Accused murder mastermind Goldy Brar among Canada's top 25 most wanted fugitives

Goldy Brar, also known as Satinder Singh Brar, is among the Royal Canadian Mounted Police's (RCMP) top 25 most wanted criminals in Canada under the 'Bolo Programme.' He is accused of murder in India and is suspected to have played a part in the assassination of Sidhu Moosewala, a singer-politician, in Punjab's Mansa district in May 2022. Although he is being investigated, Brar has not been charged with any criminal offences in Canada.

Interpol has charged him with murder, criminal conspiracy, and the supply of illegal firearms in India, and issued a Red Corner notice against him as he is believed to be in Canada and considered a threat to public safety. The Punjab Police has accused Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi of Moosewala's murder, and Brar is also accused of being involved in the killing of 'Dera Sacha Sauda' follower Pradeep Kumar in Faridkot (Punjab) in November 2022. In August 2021, Brar, along with Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, who is currently in jail, were charged together in the police charge sheet filed in the Mansa court.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by Anti-Gangster Task Force chief Pramod Ban, is investigating Moosewala's murder, and Ban has stated that Bishnoi admitted to planning the killing in retaliation for the murder of Akali youth leader Middukhera in August 2021. Despite being on Canada's top 25 most wanted criminals list, there is no reward for Brar's arrest at present.
