A couple from the Philippines has tied the knot with an age gap of 60 years! This unique love story of 18-year-old Halima Abdullah and 78-year-old Rashad Mangacop started at a dinner party. After their first meeting at the party, they both started dating each other and were in a relationship for three years. The couple confessed to having never fallen in love with anyone before. Their families say that both of them fell in love with each other in a very short time and the families of both the groom and bride also supported this relationship and agreed to the marriage.
Both of them are the residents of Philippines where marriages with huge gaps are quite common. Rashad Mangakop is a retired farmer who had apparently never had a lover or married before, while he was also Halima's first relationship. Rashad’s nephew, Ben Mangacop, announced, “It was not an arranged marriage and the couple came together purely out of love”.
Under the laws of the Philippines, a person less than 21 years old can marry but they should have consent from their guardians. The couple is living in their new home in Carmen town, and reportedly are planning to start their family as soon as possible.
