A 25-year-old Air India pilot, Srishti Tuli, was found dead in her flat in Andheri, Mumbai, in what police have reported as a case of suicide. Allegations of Harassment

The FIR filed by Srishti's uncle, Vivekkumar Narendrakumar Tuli, claims that Aditya, 27, subjected her to emotional abuse, frequent public humiliation and controlling behavior during their two-year-long relationship. An argument flared up at a dinner party in March with friends when Srishti and others suggested non-vegetarian food. According to the police, Aditya publicly humiliated her over non-vegetarian food and wanted vegetarian food. The couple left the gathering but minutes later, Srishti called a friend, saying Aditya had abandoned her on the road and gone home. The FIR further details that Aditya controlled her lifestyle as well. He forced Srishti to change her eating habits and asked her to abstain from non-vegetarian food.

Srishti's body was found on Monday in her rented flat in Kanakia Rainforest building in Marol, Andheri. The police said that she used a data cable to hang herself. No suicide note was found. Aditya Pandit was arrested on Tuesday under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, or abetment of suicide. He was produced in court and is now in police custody until November 29. Srishti met Aditya two years ago while pursuing her commercial pilot course in Delhi. Despite her professional achievements, the toxic relationship left her emotionally distressed, according to her uncle's complaint.
