Previous Smuggling Involvement

Initial investigations revealed that the deceased were recently linked to the illegal smuggling of phensedyl, a narcotic substance. This discovery has raised concerns regarding their involvement in illicit activities beyond bomb-making.

Efforts to Save the Injured

Locals attempted to transport Mamon Mollah and Sakirul Sarkar to the Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital, but both succumbed to their injuries during the journey. A large police team has been deployed in the area to maintain order, and the bomb squad is currently examining the site of the explosion to gather more evidence. In a separate incident, four individuals were killed and five others injured in a blast that caused three houses to collapse in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district late last month.
