Though Wednesday might see a reprieve from rainfall across the state, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a 'yellow' alert specifically for Thirunelveli district.

- Ongoing heavy rains in Tirunelveli have led to a flood-like situation, disrupting normal life. Visuals depict submerged buildings as the Tamraparni River surpassed the danger mark due to continuous rainfall.
