A lift accident at Nashik's Vasantrao Pawar Medical College Hospital has left everyone in shock.

A female staff member identified as Jyoti was working near the lift when her head got trapped inside the lift shaft causing serious injuries.

Reports say the incident happened in a matter of seconds.

She was immediately rushed to the ICU in critical condition.

Police have registered a case of negligence and started a full investigation into the matter.

The hospital administration has also launched an internal inquiry to find out how such a tragic accident occurred inside a medical facility. Her condition remains critical.
