The Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray, Known as Shiv Sena (UBT), declared its first list of 65 candidates for the Maharashtra assembly elections. Nomination for the Maharashtra assembly elections has already begun. It will be held on 20th November, and the results will be declared on 23rd November.
Party chief Uddhav Thackeray will contest from Malad, which he has been representing since 2008. His son Aaditya Thackeray a prominent leader in the faction, will be contesting from Mumbai's Worli constituency, seat he has held since 2019. Former Maharashtra Deputy CM and a senior leader Chhagan Bhujbal, is also likely to retain his Aurangabad North seat. Kedar Dighe, the nephew of late Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe, has also been fielded to contest from the crucial Kopri-Panchpakhadi seat in Thane, where he will face off against Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Seat-Sharing Finalized by MVA
The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), comprised of the Congress, the Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and Shiv Sena (UBT), has finalised the seat-sharing formula for the elections. All three major allies will contest 85 seats, while the remaining 33 seats have been reserved for the smaller allies and the undecided constituencies.
