Lawrence Bishnoi's Brother Declared Most-Wanted

Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been placed on the National Investigation Agency's (NIA) most-wanted list. The anti-terror agency has announced a ₹10 lakh reward for information leading to his arrest. Bishnoi is wanted in connection with a shooting incident that took place outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai earlier this year.

Charges of Conspiracy and Recruitment for Terror Acts

In 2022, the NIA registered a case against Anmol, Lawrence Bishnoi, and several other individuals for allegedly conspiring to fund and recruit youth for terrorist activities across Delhi and other regions. The case also includes allegations of plotting targeted killings of high-profile individuals. Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently held at the Sabarmati central prison in Ahmedabad, and Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar are named among the accused in the case related to the firing incident near Salman Khan's Bandra residence in April.

The Navi Mumbai police previously detained five members associated with the Bishnoi gang in connection with the case. The arrested individuals include Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna, Rizwan Khan alias Javed, and Deepak Hawa Singh alias John. Following these arrests, the police claimed in June to have uncovered a plan to target Salman Khan while traveling to his farmhouse near Panvel.

Alleged Involvement in the Baba Siddique Murder Case

Anmol Bishnoi's name has also surfaced in the murder investigation of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader was fatally shot outside his son’s office in Mumbai on October 12. The murder was allegedly orchestrated by three gunmen with potential links to the Bishnoi gang.

Evidence of Anmol Bishnoi's Involvement in Salman Khan Firing Incident

On April 14, Mumbai’s Bandra area was shaken by gunfire as two motorbike-riding individuals reportedly fired multiple rounds outside Salman Khan’s home. The chargesheet details how Anmol Bishnoi, allegedly coordinating from abroad, provided a nine-minute speech to the shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, to embolden them before the attack. Investigations reveal that the plan was in preparation from August 2023 to April 2024.

As per the chargesheet, the Bishnoi gang aimed to acquire high-caliber firearms, including AK-47s, M16 rifles, and a Turkish Zigana pistol—the same type of weapon reportedly used in the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in May 2022. The gang’s extensive surveillance efforts allegedly involved a network of 60 to 70 individuals monitoring Salman Khan’s movements in Mumbai, his farmhouse in Panvel, and the Goregaon Film City.

Ongoing Investigations

Authorities continue to investigate the Bishnoi gang's activities, with an appeal to the public for information on Anmol Bishnoi’s whereabouts. The NIA’s ₹10 lakh reward underscores the agency's commitment to curbing criminal activities allegedly orchestrated by the Bishnoi brothers and their associates.
