BJP appeals to farmers to arrive at a solution peacefully
- The BJP said on Wednesday that Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda has proposed a dialogue with the agitating farmers and urged them to reach a "peaceful" resolution.
- Senior party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad addressed a press conference at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters here, saying the Narendra Modi government has done "so much work" for farmers.
“We appeal that the solution should come out peacefully,” he added.
“Our government has done so much work for farmers. Farmers’ progress is our priority and would continue to remain so,” the former Union minister said.
Heavy traffic was seen at the Delhi-Gurugram border
- According to Sarwan Singh Pandher, Coordinator of the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, no youth, farmers, or farm labourers will move right now; only farmer leaders will continue as part of their Delhi Chalo march.
- "We will not attack anybody. We are leaving empty-handed. We urge the Delhi government to make a decision. "If they promise to enact a law on MSP, this situation will be resolved," he stated.
