Fake Sadhus Scam Shopkeeper in Rahata: ₹45,000 Gold Ring & Cash Stolen

Can religious attire be a guarantee of trust? A shocking fraud case from Rahata in Maharashtra’s Ahilyanagar district proves otherwise.

Two men dressed in saffron clothes scammed a female shopkeeper by claiming they would perform an "auspicious ritual" on her cash and gold ring.

Blindly trusting them, she handed over ₹5,000 in cash and a gold ring worth ₹40,000, only for the fraudsters to flee!

Thanks to the shop's CCTV footage, the Kopargaon police quickly identified and detained the suspects. This incident is a harsh reminder that blind faith without proof can easily lead to superstition and scams. Always stay alert!
