China has issued a major warning to Nepal regarding a potential flash flood risk. Following a recent glacier collapse near the Nepal-China border, a new lake has formed from the debris. Alarmingly, the water levels in this temporary lake are rising rapidly, creating a massive risk of overflow. Reports suggest that the water inflow could peak around September 1st. If this lake bursts, it could send a dangerous wave of water crashing down into Nepal's lower regions, triggering fresh floods. 🌊

While a disaster isn't guaranteed to strike exactly on September 1st, the authorities are on high alert as the threat remains very real.
