Condoms, contraceptive pills, cigarettes found in school bags in Bangaluru

During surprise bag checking, the management of the schools in Bangaluru found things like condoms, contraceptive pills, cigarettes, alcohol, and more. The management of the school in Bengaluru decided to check the bags of the students. To check whether students carry their phones to school or not.

This checking was done after the complaints came saying students are getting their phones to school but what they found during the checking of school bags of students left the school management shocked.

In this incident, even lots of money and phones were found with students. These things were found in the school bag of class 8th, 9th, and 10th students.

Due to this incident, the associated management of schools in Karnataka (KAMS) asked the schools to do regular bag checking of their students.

Once all these were found, the school decided to inform parents about it and to caution them regarding their kid’s behaviours.

And then the parents-teacher meeting was conducted in which they spoke over the issue “Not just us, but even the parents are shocked to know about such incidents. Even they said that they started observing a change in the behaviour of their children,” stated the principal to the publication of Deccan Herald.

“We found oral contraceptive pills and even school water bottles contained alcohol in them this happen in a few schools. Not just that but students were found using foul language, and acts of bullying were also observed in 5th-grade students.” Said general secretary D Sashi Kumar of KAMS.

After this matter was revealed. It led to the Twitter war. In which the users had different opinions.

One of the groups supported the students. Saying it is good that students know about contraceptives and also about safe sex. At that same time, the other group said the students should be monitored before 18 years old and they should be provided with adequate knowledge.

However, the students will not be suspended from school. But KAMS and the management have decided to give students 10 days' leave and to conduct a counselling session for students.
